PAYMENTS SYSTEM SECURITY MANAGER NEEDED - LONDON

PAYMENTS SYSTEMS SECURITY MANAGER
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Payments Systems Security Manager to join a leading Payments Organisation in the Payment System Security team within Risk & Compliance. This requires someone with sound security/risk analytic and research skills to provide a leading role in the development, provision and support of risk management activities for emerging payment methods.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Consultancy: As a subject matter expert, the successful candidate will provide bespoke ‘consultancy’ including developing technical guidance and specifications for securing emerging payment technologies.
• Leadership: Lead and coach other employees in the department in relation to emerging payment risk/security issues.
• Ensure alignment of approach and strategy with other internal innovation teams and product centres of excellence.
• Assist the Head of Payment Systems Security in developing and executing compliance programmes in relations to emerging payments.
• Accountable for the development of future product specifications and guidance through capture and analysis of business/security requirements.
• Develop and maintain implementation support material (presentations, training materials, pilot implementation guides) for new products under development.
• Team, member and vendor support resolving specification and implementation related questions and issues.
Essential criteria:
• Knowledge and understanding of EMV and other payment/mobile specifications, including mobile handset security architectures.
• Knowledge of key management principles and practices.
• Ability to write clear technical implementation documentation.
• The ability to assess situations and solve problems through sound reasoning and structured thinking.
• Proven experience in Information Security and/or a degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, information security, electrical engineering).
• Proven experience in Information and IT Security thought leadership.
• PCI PTS, PCI DSS and PA-DSS (including SDLC methodologies) knowledge.
• Up to date knowledge of information security products and services in relation to facilitating payments.
Desirable criteria (one or more of the following):
• Research experience in mobile security (e.g. a demonstrable publication record in the field of mobile security/mobile payment).
• M.Sc. or PhD in information security or similar academic discipline.
• Financial/Banking/Retail Industry experience.
• European language skills.
• Knowledge of contactless and mobile technology including mobile handset and UICC architecture and standards

Murray Mcintosh's client is a market leading payment solution provider recruiting for an Implementation/Integration Project Manager (Services Manager) with strong cards and payments experience to deliver to enterprise clients bespoke technical payment applications and solutions via their platform. The successful candidate will have experience in, and a hands on understanding of the card and payments market, with strong capabilities across both hardware and software in this market, including a technical understanding of Web Services / API’s. You will have project managed numerous enterprise deployments across multiple business units, multiple and disparate business process, including experience of managing system integrations. Knowledge of client solution design and client solution implementation and deployment. You will have previous experience of providing professional services in the cards and payments sector to enterprise clients. Therefore, you should be experienced in acting as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to enterprise clients on the capabilities offered by the platform, assisting clients with the design of their solutions and to identify and select implementation and deployment options for their solution. In addition, you will prepare statements of work for complex or bespoke deployment, project managing the implementation and deployment, and provide accurate and timely progress reviews on the projects. You will review final deliverables to ensure that they meet client expectations, managing expectations and ensuring delivery of high quality of the entire project lifecycle to hand over. Previous experience of working and interacting directly with the internal teams including project management, development, compliance and financial as necessary to complete smooth and swift implementation of services. You will have previous demonstrated experience of developing and managing process across an organisation, in addition to assisting the sales team to develop and close new business relating to the delivery of client solutions. Strong stakeholder and relationship management experience, with strong communication (oral and written). This is an excellent deployment project management experience in an exciting and growing organisation.

What will you do?
You will be given the opportunity to exercise a number of skills across a range of market sectors, depending on your interest and experience. Some examples of the types of project you might work on are:
• A Market Analysis of trends in mobile payments
• Business Modelling & Strategy for Identity Management in the public sector
• Process & Service Development for a major telecoms company
• Technical Requirements Specification for identification and payment cards in the public and
private sectors
• Risk Analysis for a smart ticketing scheme
• Technical Architecture & Design of a new international payment system
• System Integration & Testing of contactless payment card and terminals

What do you need?
• University Degree: 2.1+ in Electronics, Computer Science or other scientific discipline.
• Industrial Experience: Five or more years of commercial experience in at least one of our
core markets of banking, telecoms and the public sector, perhaps delivered through a product
vector, integrator or another consultancy.
• Technical Experience: Experience in at least one of our core technologies of smartcards
(contact and contactless), security & cryptography,mobile payments, digital money/payments, e-commerce, identity management, or Near
Field Communication (NFC).
• Good Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills (both written and verbal), with ability
to confidently explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Creativity: Ability to think out-of-the-box, successfully innovate and explore new ways of
working.
• Self-motivation & commitment: Innate desire to constantly improve skills and to do the best
job possible for colleagues and clients.
• Team Worker: Recognition that more can be achieved by working as a team, yet with capability
to act as leader of the team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally: Work is mainly based in Guildford for worldwide clients -
however flexibility to travel for short-term assignments in the UK or abroad is essential.
• Business Sense: Ability to think of a technical solution from a user perspective with

• Excellent IT skills: Frequent & familiar user of word processors, spreadsheets, databases,
