RBTE 2013 will see the launch of The eCommerce Pavilions in association with IMRG, The
Mobile Customer Experience Zone and The MetaPack Home Delivery Experience Zone,
where visitors will be able to find out all there is to know about these core
business areas.
Nick Field, Event Director, RBTE, said,
“RBTE is a unique event as it provides the ideal platform for suppliers to
showcase the latest
technology, business services, tools and solutions. The real strength of the event is that it puts multichannel where it
belongs - at the heart of retail operations and in context of
all its interdependent functions such as marketing, eCommerce, mCommerce,
payments, in-store, stock control, business information and customer marketing
and relations. We’ve conducted extensive
research, and know these business areas are the top of the retailer’s priority
lists. But the key factor that pulls all
of these issues together is how to improve the customer experience. The message has come through loud and clear
there is a massive demand for more information and education on how this can be
achieved, and in particular around eCommerce, Mobile and Home Delivery.”
Recognising the importance of
these areas to all retailers, special focused zones are being created to host
suppliers offering specialist solutions to help retailers in these areas, in
association with key partners. Following
the successful launch of the Pecha Kucha challenge at RBTE 2012, there will
also be a dedicated Pecha Kucha Theatre where participants in the eCommerce,
Mobile and Home Delivery Zones will be given a presentation slot.
Shiran Liyanage, Head of Marketing – UK,
MetaPack, partner for the Home Delivery zone said, “MetaPack is delighted to be
hosting this special zone within RBTE as delivery represents the key to
retailer growth right now. Whether through multichannel activity, cross-border
trade, range expansion, marketplaces, social networking or just simply adding
the latest and best delivery promises, this zone helps retailers overcome the
challenges in delivering these
initiatives.”
Andrew McClelland, Chief Operations & Policy Officer, said,
“Retail has become inextricably linked to technology, and this relationship
will become further entwined as society continues its digital evolution. It is
important that retailers are fully aware of the new developments in technology
that will affect the way that consumers engage with them, as well as the
solutions that enable the back-end systems to meet the challenges posed by
these changes. Supporting RBTE allows us to engage with some of the key
solution providers and catch up with our contacts at the retailers who are
leading the field in the development of systems that provide the most advanced
and engaging consumer experiences.”
